Youth Department
Greetings Pastors,
The Greenville South Youth Department is planning to go forward this year (2006). Therefore, I am making an appeal to each church for a headcount of the youth that will be participating this year. In the past we have had a Fun Day before the start of each District Meeting. Although we will not have a Fun Day for the February winter session the youth will be participating in children’s church as well as in the Women’s Day program. The Fun Day will resume in September or fall session – God willing.
This year (July 3-7) the AIM Youth Convention will be held in Houston, TX. This could be a good conference for Greenville South District to attend. There are a number of activities and spiritual competitions throughout the week that could be beneficial to our youth. If the District is supportive of the idea, we will be forming a planning committee to cover all aspects of the trip. This will include organizing transportation, food, lodging, registration etc.
